5:9 was started by Rob Bensinger and Jase Vann, along with their wives, in 2015. The two families have sought to follow God’s direction in the ministry, and continue to move forward in 5:9 as they maintain full time employment and raise families.
Rob Bensinger –
Rob works full time for BBVA Compass in Birmingham as a Senior Financial Analyst. He graduated from Auburn University in 2007 and immediately began his career with BBVA Compass. Rob felt called to Christian ministry in 2002 and in 2012 began his seminary work at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, graduating in 2017 with his Masters of Divinity. In 2018 he was ordained as a gospel minister by Shades Mountain Baptist Church.
Rob is married to Ginny and they have three children. They currently live in Hoover, AL and attend Shades Mountain Baptist Church.
Jase Vann –
Jase works full time for iBERIABANK in Birmingham as a portfolio manager in Commercial Real Estate. He graduated from Auburn University in 2005 and received his MBA from Auburn University in 2006. After working for five years, Jase felt God calling him into ministry, and began New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2012 while continuing full time work in banking . He graduated NOBTS with a Master of Divinity degree in 2017, and was ordained into gospel ministry in 2018 by Shades Mountain Baptist Church.
Jase is married to Elizabeth, and they have three children. The family lives in Vestavia, AL, and continues to attend Shades Mountain Baptist Church.
